Legibility (weight: 16.5/40)

Identify at least three labels which do not make sense.

1. “My account/create new”. Because there is “Login” below it, and “My account” doesn't make sense if a user hasn't login.

2. In the “Search” part, we don't need to separate it into two parts: “Package trip” and “Shared package”. Searching can do everything for us.
Even more, we can't wonder which is the difference between the two. So using two different label does not make sense.

3. The “Create package” seems to have the same function as the “add” in the “Recommendation” part, this makes no sense to seprate them or if they are different functions they should be renamed.

How would you rephrase them?

1. Remove “My account”, and add “create a new account” in the “Login” part.

2. Just use a general search box, enabling a more advanced search by adding a small link to this advanced tool.

3. Rename“Create Package” and recommandation in respect of their functions, and to make the distinction more easily understandable.

Communication consistency (weight: 16.5/40)

Identify at least three inconsistencies in the use of the language.

1. In the top, “Offres du jour” is French.

2. In the bottom, “plan du site” are not in English.

3. "romantic cruise" should be written with a capital letter. We encounter also others mispelling, as "package tript" or the capital letters after the columns.

Explain your solutions to resolve these consistency issues.

1. Translate it into English. “Today's Offer”

2. Replace "Plan du site" by "Sitemap"

3. Correct all these miseplling error and grammatical error.

Typography (weight: 7/40)

Give some arguments for what might be problematic with the typography?

1. In the top, “Menu” and “Offres du jour” do not have the same font size.

2. “Login” and “password” do not have the same font size as the letter above them

3. The underline of “romantic cruises” has different color from the one of “California: Stay from”. “See last minute vacations” doesn't have the same color and font size as others.

4. The text in the part of “Last minute vacations” use the Bold font, but other texts in the page do not.

This can be misleading because we cannot extract a hierarchy and a correct model without these typographic attribute. They help us to understand what is important in the page.

What would you do differently?

Coordinate the typos to have a clear hierarchy, elements of the same importance should share the same typo. And element of the same group should also have a typo which is the same (maybe smaller) than the top element.
So we would try to unify the typography used in this page.
